suzzane donald HOW I GOT THE DISSERTATION HELP TO GET MY DISSERTATION AAPROVED !!!

When Dissertation Troubles Surrounded Me: This is an appreciative letter to thank the people who provided pin-point and professional dissertation help at the time when I was totally disappointed and had braced myself to meet the disaster regarding my PhD degree. It was the worst time of my life when I even thought of my dissertation disapproval. I was busy working and handling my social life. You can say that I was hanging in bala… Continue

Tiffany Wilson Covering the election TIffany Wilson

This year's election had a totally different outcome than expect. For one, I think not one person believed that Barack Obama would end up becoming the 44th president, well, maybe Oprah. Two years ago, Obama was popular but I didn't see anything that really stood out to me about him. As time went on and several of the Democratic candidates started dropping like flies, I was hopeful that he would potentially become the next President of the United States. In the beginning, the media covered both t… Continue

leanne Covering the election-LeAnne Matlach

As the news editor for The Temple News, Temple's student run newspaper, covering this election was one wild ride. Ou coverage began with the democratic candidate debate at Drexel University last fall and was sporadic up until the crunch of April's Pennsylvania Primary, when we kicked things into high gear. Admittedly much of our coverage focused on the democratic candidates because those were the people coming to Philadelphia and Temple. I can't count how many times I've seen the Clintons over… Continue

KateOconnell Kate O'Connell Election Post

On election night I was not in Philadelphia, but did my post from Wildwood New Jersey. Wildwood is a small resort town that only has a small population during the winter. There were not any lines at the polls both times when i visited at around 2:00 pm and then again at 6:00 pm. When I talked to the officials there they said that most people came to vote on their lunch breaks at around 12:00pm. Noon was the only time they noticed a line forming to vote. Although there were not any lines the offi… Continue

diana holtz media election coverage

According to CNN, this election campaign has been the longest in history at 21 months. but i think it has gone on even longer than that. 4 years ago when George Bush was re-elected for a 2nd term, the democrats immediatly began speculating at who would be the next candidate in 2008. Barack Obama's name was mentioned as well as Hillary Clinton as early as november 5th, 2004. Obama was publicly introduced and highly popular for his speech at the 2004 DNC. While i think the media coverage of both… Continue

Tiffany Miller Recovering from the election

This election has gone on for a long time and I am happy that it is finally over. The coverage has been great and last night I was addicted to NBC and their programming. The excitement of everyone involved was high and that was demonstrated in their coverage. The excitement of the United States people was overly enthusiastic and I think that that also added to the excitement and great coverage of the election. For example when watching NBC local coverage you could tell a difference in the report… Continue

Adrian Fedkiw Media and the Election

I do believe the coverage of the two-year presidential campaign was fair and balanced. The problem was, in my opinion, Barrack Obama was magnificent in front of a camera. He smiled all the time, he had insightful things to say, and just had the charm that a potential presidential candidate needs. He had charisma and energy like many of the successful presidents before him like Ronald Reagen and John F. Kennedy. He was an absolute rock star. To me John McCain is a very knowledgable person, but so… Continue

Samantha J. Williams Barack Obama - America's First Black President

I am happy to join with you today in what will go down in history as the greatest demonstration for freedom in the history of our nation. Five score years ago, a great American, in whose symbolic shadow we stand today, signed the Emancipation Proclamation. This momentous decree came as a great beacon light of hope to millions of Negro slaves who had been seared in the flames of withering injustice. It came as a joyous daybreak to end the long night of captivity. But one hundred years later, th… Continue

Rebecca interviews:

Interviews in a crowded pub are extremely difficult, however, alcohol seems to provide subjects with an interesting take on politics. Many of the people in the pub, surprisingly enough, were neither American nor British. There were groups of French and Australian people intently watching the big projector screen, equally nervous. Almost all of the people in the pub where Obama supporters, though one attendee claimed that "If Obama wins, it will be the death of Israel." When asked to elaborate, n… Continue

Brandie Page Election night in Pennsylvania, USA

It was projected by CNN that Pennsylvania and Ohio were the deciding factors in this presidential race behind Florida. Historically no candidate has ever won the white house without Ohio. As of the 10 o'clock hour Sen. Obama has won Ohio and journalists on all stations are looking closely at Florida. Many of the Pundits say that Obama's momentum is almost impossible to break at this point. Both candidates are scheduled to come out and address large crowds in their home states within the next hou… Continue

Rebecca Get off ur lazy bums!

I cannot BELIEVE how many of my friends decided not to vote. They all had opinions, some stronger than others, about who should or should not be running the country and whose values they agreed with, but when it came down to it, they just didn't get out and vote. Some of them said "it's such a hassle" some of them "just didn't get around to it" but in my point of view, those are lame excuses. I can't even begin to fathom why someone would throw away such an important right we are so privileged t… Continue

amber12788 It's finally almost over....

I am so happy that this year's presidential election is on its way to a close. No the evening is not over yet with a clear winner, but all of the canvasing, protesting, and harassment from Obama and McCain supporters alike is through. Don't get me wrong I am super excited to be a part of this history making election. But damn I didn't know how tiring/annoying all this repetitive coverage could be. According to ABC at this very moment Obama leads with 207 electoral votes and McCain has 137. Very… Continue

ANDREADE21 DESABATO- CLOSE OR NOT?

Many people are saying it is over and it goes to Obama...others with data say it is so close and hard to tell...this entire campaign has been about speculation and assumptions...should it be more than that or is that ideal or just not necessary? Continue

Danielle Harvey Voting for Biden?

When I came home from placing my vote in the 2008 Election this afternoon, I was overwhelmed by the reaction I received by one of my rather dedicated Republican peers. "Well you pretty much placed your vote for Biden, since Obama won't last a year in office" she said, with a tinge of sadness in her tone. She was of course referring to the idea that an assassination attempt is inevitable... an idea that I, as well as many media sources, have tried to ignore. I responded to my friend by saying tha… Continue

Mattprice Election Day

Tuesday November 4th 2008...Election Day...as my alarm went off this morning...all that seemed to be on KYW was election coverage...it was then that the fact that this was truly going to be a historic day had set in...I left my house earlier than usual to be able to get up to Temple to cover the day's events...as I passed through town I noticed that the roads were relatively clear for this time of morning...I then noticed that all of the towns polling places were packed...a small elementary scho… Continue

rlh011 First Time

Four years ago, I spent the summer volunteering in the Campaign office for my State Senator who was running for the US Congress. I had contacted her about a discrimination problem in my high school, and by surprise, she invited me to join her campaign staff. It was work, it was fun...I admired the college student interns and staffers. I cut school that Thursday to work the polls in Philadelphia. I was caught up in the adrenalin..watching people go in and out and cast their votes behind the curta… Continue
