On election night I was not in Philadelphia, but did my post from Wildwood New Jersey. Wildwood is a small resort town that only has a small population during the winter. There were not any lines at the polls both times when i visited at around 2:00 pm and then again at 6:00 pm. When I talked to the officials there they said that most people came to vote on their lunch breaks at around 12:00pm. Noon was the only time they noticed a line forming to vote. Although there were not any lines the officials said that over 50 percent of the registered voters in the district had already voted by 5:00 pm. People that had not voted in ten years came out to vote in this historic election. I actually grew more excited about this election seeing all of the people that streamed in an out of the polls with a smile on their face knowing they just had a part in history!
